FeedbackFirst uses a weekly credit auction with strict, transparent rules. This guide explains exactly how participation, bidding, reservation, and winner selection work.
What the weekly credit auction does
Each week, FeedbackFirst runs one credit auction. Builders compete with credits, and the highest valid bidder wins at closing time.
Entry fee: mandatory and burned
To participate, each user pays a 5-credit entry fee.
- The fee is charged immediately.
- The fee is burned immediately.
- The fee is non-refundable, whether the user wins or loses.
Bidding rule: strictly higher only
A new bid is valid only if it is strictly higher than the current highest bid.
- No equal bids are allowed.
- Tie scenarios cannot happen.
- Winner selection stays deterministic.
Reservation logic: only the leader is reserved
At any moment, only one amount is reserved: the current highest bid.
When a higher bid is placed:
- The previous leader reservation is released immediately.
- The new highest bid becomes reserved.
How the winner is selected
At auction close, the highest valid bid wins. The winner's reserved credits are consumed to settle the result.
Simple example
- User A pays entry fee and bids 100.
- User B pays entry fee and bids 120.
- User A is outbid, so A's 100 reservation is released.
- User B remains leader with 120 reserved.
- Auction closes: User B wins and 120 is consumed.
